Portland

We've spent the last couple days with my sisters in Portland. It's
been a lot of fun just hanging out and talking.
Today we went to Jen Hazzard's 40th birthday party. There, surrounded
by her friends, Jen broke into tears as she was presented a honeymoon
trip to Hawaii by her friends. Jen's health has been declining and
there are fears about the length of her life. We are so much more
than solitary beings--so much more than the sum of our parts.

Tomorrow I have to part from my Beloved for a while and see how big
this world is.
